The Swedish menswear tag Our Legacy has two stores in Stockholm , but none—so far—in the U.S. But they’re difficult the waters with a pop-up installation at New York ’s Odin. All of the furnishings for the room, which is open now through the end of the season, were selected in respect to the brand’s unfussy aesthetic, one that is driven less by trends than by an similarity for classic cool. “Ever since we started, ‘timelessness’ has been the leading word for us,” co-designer Jockum Hallin said as he supervise a crew hanging glassy lamps and arranging piles of linen shirts at the space. The line’s Spring collection, Observations, includes some athletic pieces, like soft cotton sweatshirts and piqué knit polos, but also a good selection of informal, affordable suiting, including a few feather-light unlined jackets. According to Odin’s Eddy Chai, who’s been transport the line for seasons, that’s what his clients are after. “We’re seeing guys come back to suiting,” says the retailer, who was the primary to pick up Our Legacy’s collection in the U.S. several period back.
